What we fund
The Funk Foundation has set itself the goal of supporting risk research and shining a spotlight on cultural diversity.
You will find all the information on the important funding criteria for the Funk Foundation in our "Requirements profile fact sheet" and in our "Funding Guidelines".
Who we fund
The Funk Foundation only funds projects that are beneficial for the general public. Domestic and overseas charitable institutions and project organisations alike are eligible to receive funding. Institutions or project organisations should preferably be based, or at least have one representative, in the European Union or a country associated with the EU.
What we do not fund
The Funk Foundation reserves the right not to fund very small-scale projects or private individuals.
What you need to do
If you would like to submit a funding application to the Funk Foundation, please read the information on our funding criteria beforehand and check that your project fits the criteria.
As a first step, please submit a funding project application via this website. This shpuld be no longer than one A4 page and should briefly describe the planned project. If known, please also specify the project duration and the funding required.
Should the foundation’s board wish to know more, you will be invited to an introductory meeting to present the funding project. You will be asked to submit a proper project application during this process or after the first meeting

How we proceed
Once you have submitted your funding request, you will receive an acknowledgement and your request will be assessed.
In the event of a rejection, you will be informed in due course.
Should your request be successful, we will contact you to discuss what happens next.
The final decision on a project request, following the assessment of a full proposal that you habe drafted, is made by the foundation board and foundation council.
