Training opportunity: Artepreneurship

It is not uncommon for highly qualified musicians to be confronted with economic challenges when they enter the profession, start a business or want to realize an individual, artistic impulse. For this reason, TONALi has launched a three-day training program to support prospective or trained musicians. The "Artepreneurship" training program is aimed at socially committed cultural entrepreneurs who would like to gain a deeper insight into TONALi's successful approaches and thereby develop individual and professionally relevant impulses.

„The Artepreneurship training programme was very well organized and structured. The lecturers were very responsive to technical questions. I can only recommend the seminar. The knowledge I acquired will help me a lot in practice."

The music and cultural market is being supplied with far more graduates than it needs by the nationwide music academies. This means that prospective and trained musicians have to face the challenges of the economy in order to find their way into the profession or realize their creative ideas. TONALi's cultural and educational project wants to support the next generation of musicians and artists on their way towards an open and committed society.

A new addition to the TONALi Academy's training program is the "Artepreneurship" course sponsored by the Funk Foundation, which supports musicians in establishing themselves on the independent music market. The aim of the training is to teach the basic skills of storytelling, self-management, presentation and the use of different media. The musicians should eventually gain new professional and individual impulses to be able to tell their own story in a purposeful and interesting way and to position themselves on the free music market. The "Artepreneurship" qualification combines cultural entrepreneurship and social education.

The training is divided into three levels:

  • 1st level: self-fulfillment
  • 2nd level: maturity
  • 3rd level: sociality

The lecturers are experts from the fields of culture, education and society. This year's three-day training course took place in November 2023. The course is a certified advanced training course.
