Profile Prof. Dr. Peter Maas

Peter Maas is a Professor of Business Administration with a focus on Service Management and Insurance at the School of Management of the University of St. Gallen. He also acts as a Member of the Executive Board of the Institute of Insurance Economics (I.VW-HSG) in St. Gallen and is the Academic Director of the Global Executive MBA in Financial Services and Insurance which is provided by three international universities. Prof. Maas studied Management and Economic Psychology and received his PhD from the University of Cologne.

Besides his academic background for many years he gathered practical experiences with one of the leading  German banks and as a Senior Consultant at a big international consultancy company. His current research interests focus on Customer Value Management, New Business Models, FinTechs/InsurTechs, Customer Access Points and Intermediaries, and Trends in Financial Services Markets. Prof. Maas is a regular key note speaker at management conferences and executive development programs and coached several international Financial Services Companies. He is also the author of numerous scientific journal articles and practice oriented books. The latest one is 2050 Megatrends, Everyday Worlds, Future Markets which deals with the changing role of customers in future market environments where industry boundaries become obsolete.
